Official Covenant Cards guide

Early Pressure

A 30-card cross-era deck built around early units, immediate effects, and powerful follow-up plays.

Suggested captain

Ramses, The Brother — separate from the 30-card list.

The plan

  1. Spend the first turns establishing inexpensive units rather than saving every card for a perfect combination.
  2. Use War Chariot and on-play damage to improve the board before committing another attacker.
  3. Protect your remaining units with a guard, then use the larger allies as follow-up pressure.

Opening hand

  • Look for Taskmaster, Israelite Wanderer, or Benjamin to establish an early play.
  • Keep War Chariot or Court Magician when their immediate impact fits your opening hand.
  • Consider replacing your most expensive opening cards if you lack early plays.

30-card deck list

After the first match

Your cheapest card is not automatically your best play; account for what survives the exchange.

Spread your mana curve instead of spending a turn with no useful option.

Try this beginner deck with cards you own, then adjust it as you learn. These cards are not granted automatically. Choose your captain separately from the 30 cards in the deck.
