Official Covenant Cards guide
Guard & Recover
A 30-card cross-era deck that protects your captain, restores health, and keeps your allies in the fight.
Suggested captain
Moses the Prophet — separate from the 30-card list.
The plan
- Establish an inexpensive ally before investing heavily in support effects.
- Use Taunt units to direct attacks away from a vulnerable captain or an ally you want to preserve.
- Recover and develop your position, then turn surviving units and the larger Golem into pressure.
Opening hand
- Look for an inexpensive ally plus a reasonable next-turn play.
- Consider Levite Guard or Legionary when you need protection, rather than keeping only high-cost cards.
- Keep healing when it has a clear purpose; replace support that would have no useful target early.

After the first match
Healing helps only when there is damage to restore; avoid spending resources for no board change.
A guard can create time, but it does not stop every spell or ability.
Try this beginner deck with cards you own, then adjust it as you learn. These cards are not granted automatically. Choose your captain separately from the 30 cards in the deck.
