Shield
Absorb the next damaging hit before health is lost.
What it does
Shield blocks the next damaging hit, then breaks. A blocked hit does not activate Poison or Lifesteal.
A useful decision
A small hit can remove a shield before a larger attack. Check whether spending that damage elsewhere would create more pressure.
